Job Description:
Overall 3 + Years of experience in IT industry and seeking a skilled and proactive DevOps Engineer to join our team and take ownership of deploying, managing, and optimizing .NET applications across both Windows and Linux servers. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in hybrid environments and enjoys automating infrastructure, improving CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring high availability and performance of enterprise-grade applications.
Qualifications:
- Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor’s or higher degree; OR appropriate combination of education and experience.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for .NET applications using tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
- Automate deployment processes across Windows IIS and Linux (using Kestrel, Nginx, or Apache).
- Manage infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or PowerShell DSC.
- Monitor application performance and server health using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Azure Monitor.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth integration and deployment of new features.
- Maintain and optimize containerized environments using Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Implement security best practices across deployment pipelines and server configurations.
- Troubleshoot deployment issues and provide root cause analysis and resolution.
- Maintain version control and branching strategies using Git/SVN.
Required Technical Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in DevOps or Systems Engineering roles.
- Strong experience deploying and maintaining .NET applications (.NET Core/.NET 6+) on both Windows and Linux.
- Proficiency in scripting languages: PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and version control systems.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure preferred, AWS or GCP a plus).
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Solid understanding of networking, firewalls, load balancing, and DNS.
- Experience with hybrid cloud/on-premise deployments.
- Familiarity with configuration management tools like Chef or Puppet.
- Knowledge of database deployment and maintenance (SQL Server, MySQL, MongoDB).
